Below is a mini crypto conference calendar with some of the most note-worthy conferences of 2022 (in chronological order) :

This is not an exhaustive list, and there’s surely more to cover (which we may do in due time). However, it’s an excellent start for those either new to the crypto world or having limited time for research.
Below you will find a brief summary of each of the conferences and, if you scroll till the end, also our verdict of our favorite crypto conferences thus far in 2022!

ETH Denver
Dates: 11th – 24th February
Location: Denver, Colorado
Ticket Prices: Free
Nr of Attendees: 12,000+
Topics Covered: all things Ethereum
Best Suited for: builders, ecosystem companies and investors
ETH Denver is the largest and longest-running ETH event globally and this year took place mainly from the 11th to the 17th of February, but the full scope of activities only ended on the 24th of February. The first two weeks were held in Denver, and the last was held on a mountain retreat in Breckenridge, Colorado.
The event is free, and it’s composed of 3 parts:
- Kickoff + #BUIDLWEEK – 1st part;
- Web3 Castle Main Event – 2nd part;
- Rocky Mountain Retreat – 3rd part.
The 1st part of the conference, the #BUIDLWEEK, was open for application by individuals with a project idea or by already established projects looking to further develop, learn and network with other fellow projects.
During this period, attendees could participate in various workshops and classes to learn new ways of making their projects grow.
The 2nd part of the event started with panel talks and workshops from speakers, such as:
- Siraj Raval, from Polygon;
- Kevin Owocki, CEO of Gitcoin, and;
- Mathew Reed, co-founder of BLKDRP.
On that weekend’s Sunday, #BUIDLing ends, meaning each project makes a pitch and showcases its development. On the other hand, a jury composed of Aydan Hyman, Akshi Frederici, and Alex Bazhanau, to say a few, will evaluate the projects and provide valuable feedback.
The final part of the event is composed of the “Rocky Mountain Retreat”. It goes from the 21st to the 24th of February in Breckenridge, Colorado. Attendees are welcome to join the Mountain Retreat for sky sessions or to host open-source events, which they can add to the Official ETHDenver Mountain Retreat Calendar.

The Binance Blockchain Week
Dates: 28th – 30th March
Location: Dubai, UAE
Ticket prices: US$588
Nr of attendees: 2,500+ physical attendees and 1.5M livestream views
Topics Covered: Crypto building and adoption, NFT, GameFi, Metaverse, Trading
Best Suited for: anyone interested or taking part in the blockchain industry
The Binance Blockchain Week 2022 is a 3-day event that took place between the 28th and 30th of March at the Trade Center Arena in Dubai World Trade Center. The event was composed of:
- 80+ influential speakers;
- 10+ panels and fireside chats;
- 10+ major keynotes;
- 2,500+ physical attendees.
Some of its prominent guest speakers were:
- Aurélie Dhellemmes, Senior Director at Ripple;
- Changpeng Zhao, CEO at Binance;
- Antonio Saaranen, CSO at Qtum Foundation;
- Eric Turner, VP of Market Intelligence at Messari.
The 1st day of the event hosted many conversations under the theme “Crypto Ecosystem Growth – Adoption, Industry Building, & User Safety”. The day started with the keynote speech delivered by His Excellency Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, to officially open the event. Other speakers included big names from Chainalysis, Galaxy Digital Holdings, Polygon, and QTUM, among others.
“Navigating the NFT, GameFi, & Metaverse World” was the theme for the 2nd day of the event. From the crypto world, this day hosted guest speakers from ANKR, Binance NFT, Messari, Reef, to name a few.
On the other hand, attendees also had the opportunity to hear from many guest speakers from other industries that commented on the importance of adopting crypto and blockchain to improve user experience in their respective industries. Some of these guest speakers were from Alpine F1 team, Arowana Sports, and Giants Gaming.
On the last day, the theme was “Mastering the Essentials of Crypto Investment & Trading” and featured speakers from the Amber Group, Antler, Forbes, and Nexo, among others.
To open the event’s final day, a keynote from Mr. Khalifa Al Jaziri, Commercial Affairs Regulatory Sector Projects Advisor in UAE’s Ministry of Economy, was delivered where he mentioned the various initiatives the UAE made to support the FinTech sector.
Additionally, attendees could scan the Binance Blockchain Week QR code to receive NFT Mystery Boxes and BUSD rewards. Binance NFT organized this initiative, and there were two different types of NFT Mystery Boxes:
- Binance Blockchain Week 2022 NFTs;
- Back to Blockchain Future NFTs.
Bitcoin Miami 2022
Dates: 6th – 9th April
Location: Miami Beach, Florida
Ticket prices: $1,099 (GA), $2,499 (Industry Pass) $21,000 (Whale Pass)
Nr of attendees: 35,000
Topics covered: all things Bitcoin
Best Suited for: bitcoin enthusiasts and those interested or taking part in the blockchain industry
Bitcoin Miami took place from the 6th to the 9th of April at the Miami Beach Conference Center. It is the largest Bitcoin event globally, with over 35,000 attendees and more than 450 speakers. Among them are sports stars, tech giants, and high-profile politicians.
Some of the most note-worthy crypto speakers:
- Michael Saylor, Co-founder at Microstrategy;
- Jack Mallers, CEO at Zap;
- Elizabeth Stark, Co-founder, and CEO at Lightning Labs;
- Cathie Wood, CEO at Ark Invest; and, lastly;
- Anthony “Pomp” Pompliano, host of The Pomp Podcast.
Other influential speakers:
- Peter Thiel, co-founder of Paypal and Palantir.
- Yeonmi Park, the famous North Korean defector, and human rights activist;
- Serena Williams, one of the top female tennis players of all time;
- Jordan Peterson, philosopher, psychologist, and best-selling author;
- Jo Jorgensen, the President of People for Liberty, USA’s main libertarian party, and;
Bitcoin Miami’s agenda is filled with startup meetups and pitches, panel talks, and keynotes that will take place in the five different stages:
- the Nakamoto;
- Genesis;
- Mining;
- Open Source, and;
- the Enterprise Stage.
The first day of the conference will be Industry Day, gathering several companies and projects on the Bitcoin ecosystem. This day is also Pitch Day, an initiative for early-stage projects to put their ideas and products to the test. And to judge them, there is a group of experts in the industry and business in general, including:
- Ria Bhutoria, from Castle Island Ventures;
- Kevin O’Leary, venture capitalist and judge at the ABC Shark Tank;
- Tatiana Metodieva, Head of Corporate Finance & Investments at Nexo.

Regarding the ticket price, they differed according to the benefits of each type of ticket. Let’s begin with the most expensive! The Whale Pass is $21,000 and gives attendees access to everything and a personally-designed VIP experience. The second most expensive ticket is the Industry Pass, $2,499, which offers an additional day of networking activities. The last two available tickets are the GA Pass, for $1,099, and the Sound Money Pass, for $110, which gives access to all the music festivals and concerts.

ETH Amsterdam
Dates: 22nd – 24th April
Location: Amsterdam, the Netherlands
Ticket prices: Free for approved participants
Nr of attendees: 800
Topics covered: building of new crypto projects on the Ethereum blockchain
Best Suited for: builders, Ethereum ecosystem companies, investors
ETH Amsterdam is one of the top events of the year for the Ethereum community, along with ETH Denver and ETH CC Paris. It gathers over 800 developers, designers and creators to build and learn over one full weekend.
Some notable speakers include:
- Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum
- Stani Kulechov, founder and CEO at Aave & Lens protocol
- Juan Benet – Founder, CEO at Protocol Labs (incl. Filecoin)
The event is free of charge for the selected participants thanks to the sponsors and supporters of ETH Amsterdam. There are over 40 conference partners that provide challenges and opportunities for the developers to win cash prizes ranging from $2,500-$16,000, amounting to a total of over $400K to be won.
This is an event that is heavily focused on building new applications and further developing the Ethereum ecosystem.
Hearing from those who attended the event, it sure was full of energy and worth a visit if you want to build, learn or invest in an early stage crypto project!
Crypto Bahamas
Dates: 26th – 29th April
Location: Nassau, Bahamas
Ticket prices: Free for invitees, $3,000 – $5,000 for all others
Nr of attendees: 2,000+
Topics covered: DeFi, Gaming, NFTs, Trading & Mining
Best Suited for: all audiences due to variety of attendees covering all industry but top-level, invite-only
Crypto Bahamas 2022 was the first edition of this event organized by FTX and SALT that lasted four days, from the 26th to the 29th of April in Nassau, Bahamas. It is an invitation-only event gathering the leading investors and builders in the blockchain, digital assets, and web3 space.
Like Bitcoin Miami, the Crypto Bahamas had guest speakers from various fields of expertise. The most prominent crypto speakers are:
- Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO at FTX;
- Matt Boyd from Coinbase, and;
- Jeremy Allaire, co-founder, Chairman, and CEO of Circle.
At the same time, some of the invited personalities from sports, politics, and the entertainment industry were:
- Tony Blair, ex-prime minister of the UK;
- President Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the US;
- Tom Brady, Super Bowl Champion, and;
- Gisele Bündchen.
The conference’s agenda is equally diverse, including insightful conversations and playful activities like mornings with sunrise yoga, chair massage sessions, and Bahamian BBQs. Some of the most exciting panel discussions are:
- The Evolution of NFTs: Culture, Utility, and Regulation, on the 27th;
- Crypto Mining: Maximizing Efficiency and Sustainability on the 28th, and;
- How Crypto Empowers Global Citizens on the 29th of April.
In terms of prices, most attendees were invited, so there was no price for the lucky ones. For those who didn’t get that luck, tickets were sold in 3 blocks, each with 200 tickets, for $3,000, $4,000, and $5,000, respectively.
TechChill 2022
Dates: 27th – 29th April
Location: Riga, Latvia
Ticket prices: 99 – 349 EUR

Best Suited for: all audiences
TechChill is the leading tech event in the Baltics, that in 2022 gathered over 2,300 attendees, over 200 investors and 300+ startups. This event is not crypto-only but rather focused on the technology ecosystem. However, we are including it due to its crypto-focused content vertical named Web 3 & Metaverse by Gravity Team, that we had the honor to put together and sponsor. It gathered some quality speakers and noteworthy cryptocurrency companies.

Permissionless
Dates: 17th – 19th May
Location: Palm Beach, Florida
Ticket prices: $2,500

Best Suited for: all audiences
Permissionless was a conference organized by Blockworks, a NY-based media company, from the 17th to the 19th of May in Palm Beach, Florida. The conference included expert panel conversations at the Expo Hall, VIP events, NFT Gallery, and incredible nightlife events.
The conference did not disappoint in terms of guest speakers, with big leaders marking place, such as:
- Mary-Catherine Lader, CEO at Uniswap;
- Stani Kulechov, founder and CEO at Aave;
- Jeff “Jihoz” Zirlin, Growth Lead & Co-Founder of Axie Infinity;
- Surojit Chatterjee, CPO at Coinbase, and many others.
Permissionless agenda was composed of interesting conversations like “The Crypto Renaissance” and “Building the Information Super-App of Web3” on the 17th. The last two days, the 18th and 19th of May were divided into four main topics, each with respective panel talks:
- General Session;
- Institutional;
- Metaverse;
- Future of Finance.

Consensus 2022
Dates: 9th – 12th June
Location: Austin, Texas
Ticket prices: $1,099 – $9,000

Best Suited for: all audiences
Consensus 2022 was an event organized by CoinDesk, a news outlet specializing in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, from the 9th to the 12th of June in Austin, Texas. It proclaims itself as “The festival for the decentralized world” and aims to gather all the impactful voices in the industry for four days of interesting panel talks and discussions.
This conference receives as guests speakers experts on crypto, finance, and politics, such as:
- Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO at FTX;
- Kirsten Gillibrand, Senator at the US Senate;
- Cathie Wood, from Ark Invest;
- Dan Schulman, President and CEO of Paypal and;
- Changpeng Zhao, Founder and CEO at Binance, among many others.
Regarding the topics that will be covered, Consensus 2022 will explore “all sides of blockchain, crypto, Web 3 and the metaverse” and will try to understand how these technologies are transforming the conventional worlds of “finance, investing, culture, entertainment, marketing, governance” and many others. On its agenda, the event also includes activities such as Yin Yoga, Meditation 3.0, and a Run Club.
The panel talks and discussions planned to go from basics like “Buying your First Crypto: Wallets and Exchanges 101” to the most complex topics like “Building the Foundation of the Metaverse”. Other talks are:
- “The Meme Economy”, with Chris Gabriel, from Meme Analysis and David Z. Morris, Chief Insights Columnist;
- “TradFi meets DeFi”, with Sam Bankman-Fried;
“When Payments go Programmable”, with Dan Schulman, President and CEO of Paypal, Jose Fernandez da Ponte, from Crypto & Digital Currencies PayPal, and Alan Murray, CEO at Fortune Media (USA) Corporation.
For the ticket prices, the General Admissions ticket is $1,099, which is beside the Student & Academia Pass, at $189, the cheapest ticket. Prices increase at the Pro Pass, at $1,599, and Piranha Pass, at $9,000. Regarding Group Rates, prices may vary. Therefore, interested attendees need to contact the Consensus organization directly.
NFT NYC
Dates: 20th-23rd June
Location: New York City, NY, USA
Ticket prices: $849 (GA) and $1,999 (VIP)

Best Suited for: NFT enthusiasts, builders, creatives & anyone interested in this space
This was one of the most anticipated events in the NFT space this year! NFT NYC first took place in 2019 and thus, is the 4th annual NFT conference. Since then, NFT.NYC events have hosted 20,000+ attendees. This year, there were 1,500+ approved speakers and over 15k attendees, spread across 7 venues in NYC and many more for the side events.

ETH CC 5 Paris, France
Dates: 19th-21st June
Location: Paris, France

ETH Community Conference 5 is one of the most anticipated events of the year for the crypto ecosystem due to Ethereum’s key role in the space. The conference brings together 250+ speakers and 40 annual sponsors. Due to just 1,200 tickets in circulation, the event was sold out very quickly after the sales opened up. However, due to over 130 side events happening in parallel as part of the ETH CC 5 Week, the capacity of the event increased significantly.
Speakers include:

- Paul Veradittakit, Partner at Pantera
- Liam Horne, CEO of Optimisim

Gravity Team was lucky enough to attend the conference and its side events, with many events on the boats around the Seine river, one even being with the most beautiful view to Eiffel tower; several rooftop parties and, of course, impossible not to mention the Paris edition of rAAVE!
Overall, the quality of content, connections, events and the startup & VC concentration easily makes it one of the top conferences of the year.
Baltic Honeybadger 2022 Riga, Latvia
Dates: 3rd-4th September
Location: Riga, Latvia

Best Suited for: bitcoin enthusiasts, builders and professionals
Started in 2017, the event is back after two years break due to covid restrictions. The Baltic Honeybadger 2022 is a bitcoin-focused conference that brings together 600+ bitcoin enthusiasts to the Northeastern part of Europe, the Baltics . It is also part of the wider Riga Bitcoin Week 2022, an event and week full of workshops, meetups and social gatherings with bitcoiners from all over the world.
Some noteworthy speakers:

- Adam Back, CEO at Blockstream

TOKEN 2049 Singapore
Dates: 28th – 29th September
Location: Singapore

Best Suited for: all audiences
When it comes to the TOKEN 2049 in Singapore, the ultimate goal is just like the TOKEN 2049 in London, bringing together the “leading voices in crypto”. However, the speakers are different, with Singapore guest speakers being high-profile leaders in the Asian crypto scene, like:
- Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of Polygon;
- Bill Qian, Head of Investments in Binance, and;
- Amy Wu, Head of Ventures at FTX, among others.
Other well-known personalities will mark their presence, such as:
- Sam Bankman-Fried, co-founder of FTX;
- Santiago R. Santos, Web 3 investor;
- Evgeny Gaevoy, founder and CEO at Wintermute, and;

Solana Breakpoint 2022
Dates: 4th – 7th November
Location: Lisbon, Portugal

The Solana Breakpoint 2022 will occur in Lisbon, Portugal, between the 4th and the 7th of November. This is not the first time that the Solana ecosystem has gathered in Lisbon since, in 2021, the first-ever, real-life breakpoint celebration took place there.
This event has the capacity to gather the most diverse people in the ecosystem. From established projects to individuals with an idea, Solana Breakpoint joins builders, enthusiasts, and dreamers, making the future come to work, learn, and play.
The information available about this year’s guests and topics is still very little, but without a doubt, this event is a landmark for all Solana enthusiasts and will definitely surprise attendees again.
TOKEN 2049 London
Dates: 9th – 10th November
Location: London, UK
Ticket prices: £478.80 – £4,798.80

Topics covered: all things Web3
Best Suited for: all audiences, but with more institutional tracks
TOKEN 2049 is an annual event both in Singapore and London. The London edition starts on the 9th and finishes on the 10th of November, and its aim is “uniting entrepreneurs, investors, developers, industry insiders, and global media” benefiting all parties involved by building meaningful connections. Besides panel talks, TOKEN 2049 also hosts meetups, workshops, and hackathons.
The European two-day event will gather:
- 150+ speakers;
- 100+ journalists;
- 100+ exhibitors;
- 3,000+ attendees.
Many influential crypto leaders are debuting at the event’s stage, like:
- Ethereum’s founder, Vitalik Buterin;
- Stani Kulechov, CEO at Aave;
- Emin Gün Sirer, CEO at Ava Labs, and many others.
However, in contrast with the other mentioned events, most, if not all, guest speakers belong to established crypto companies only, without many of them being from other fields.
The event’s tickets are composed of two main entrance passes, Early Bird for £478.80 and Special Access Pass for £4,798.80.
Our Verdict
The crypto space is such a dynamic and ever-evolving industry. You have to stay up to date to stay relevant, and, crypto conferences provide precisely that along with excellent networking opportunities. Whilst at the time of first writing this, the year is not complete and we cannot say which one is our most favourite conference of 2022, we may reveal our top up until now.
Our favourite conferences of 2022 thus far are: Crypto Bahamas, ETH CC Paris & Consensus 2022! This selection is based on the quality of content, networking opportunities and side events!
