About Consensus 2022
Consensus 2022 is one of the biggest and longest-running crypto conferences in the world that will take place from the 9th to 12th of June in Austin, Texas (USA).
The event is a “showcase and celebration of all that crypto has to offer” run by CoinDesk, a trusted leading crypto news source.
This year, it is expected to bring together:
15,000+ attendees;
400+ speakers;
4 days of exclusive experiences;
250+ sponsors.
After 2 years of online-only events, this year the conference will take a hybrid form, with online streaming as well as an IRL event at the Austin Convention Center.
The event aims to thoroughly cover different perspectives and opinions of all things crypto, such as:
Blockchain;
Crypto;
Web3;
Metaverse.
Consensus 2022 offers top-level guest speakers that will engage in thoughtful and “hard-hitting” conversations while sparking insightful debates. In addition, they’ll provide valuable content for professionals in finance, trading, marketing, government, and much more.
This is a unique opportunity to connect and network for many projects and entrepreneurs as it is an effective aggregator of the crypto world.
The festival’s guest list comprises some of the most influential individuals in crypto and prominent governmental politicians, business people, and free-speech advocates.
The festival will last 4 days, and there will be many more activities in addition to keynote speeches and panel conversations! For the early-birds participants that enjoy exercising and well-being, there will be activities in the morning like:
Consensus Run Club;
Yin Yoga;
Meditation 3.0.
Regarding more fun and networking activities, Consensus 2022 provides:
Several happy hour events, such as Filecoin Happy Hour and DESK Launch Happy Hour;
Evening parties like the WSB Casino Night Party or the Official Consensus Closing Night Party;
In terms of panel discussions, some of the most interesting ones will be:
Crypto at War: Behind Ukraine’s Historic Crypto Fundraiser, on the 11th of June;
Why Crypto Matters: A Conversation with the Head of the World’s Largest Crypto Exchange, also on the 11th of June;
The Internet of Money, on the 10th of June;
Defining DEFI: Discover what it takes to succeed in DeFi and Web3 from renowned investors on the 9th of June.
Besides the mentioned activities, the conference’s venue will have dedicated areas for entertainment and discovery. One good example of one of these spaces is the Metaverse Zone.
The Metaverse Zone is a 6,000-square-foot space in the middle of the convention center, focusing on the emergence of virtual worlds and economies. It will only be open on the 10th and 11th of June, so Friday and Saturday. Some of the touched topics will be fashion and real estate in the metaverse, and virtual reality headsets will be provided.
Another space the Consensus 2022 organization will bring to life is the NFT Gallery. This space will not only showcase some NFTs digitally, but it will also try to approach the marketing side of an NFT project launch.
This gallery will not be located at the Austin Convention Center but will be pretty close, just one block away, at the Copper Tank and in and in partnership with Filecoin.
